This instrument, replaces the harp strings with lasers.
A laser harp is generally constructed using a single laser beam, spreading its wave in a series of parallel beams.
When the player puts its hand above one of the lights, a photodiode detects that, making an electric sound. The photodiode makes the sound because it is connected to an electronic console, that makes the sound.
It is also important to know due to the
use of certain lasers that cause skin
damage, it is advisable to use protections
such as gloves and glasses.
The term laser harp, as well as its
first functional design, were
invented by Bernard Szajner in
1981.
It is growing in the popular opinion. The most famous players are the french musician, Jean-Michel Jarre and the spanish player Santi Liaño.
